This kitchen was in need of updates and to provide more storage and functionality for these young homeowners.  The kitchen felt small with inadequate lighting and dark wall paint.  New taller shaker style cabinets were installed, including a pantry cabinet for additional storage.  New cabinetry was added to provide for a needed coffee bar and convenient microwave space near the range.  The old electric range was replaced with a new gas range, as well as a stainless steel vent hood that vents to the outside.  The homeowner chose a subway tile in a herringbone pattern with a quartz countertop for a light and clean look.  New pendant lights above the bar top gives illumination to the stainless steel farmhouse sink and enlarged seating area.  New floor tile and a lighter paint color in the family room completed this transformation
